I had such a wonderful experience buying plants from Tay. While we were chatting, I mentioned that I was just getting back into keeping plants, and she was incredibly kind and encouraging. She went out of her way to help me get started again, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the people who support her business. Tay is friendly, welcoming, and passionate about what she does. She made the whole experience feel personal instead of transactional, and I left feeling excited about growing my plant collection again. I'm also happy to support a Black, queer-owned small business that's built with so much care and heart. I highly recommend checking her out if you're looking for beautiful plants and a genuinely positive experience.

Tay’s Secret Garden is truly a gem in our community. Not only does Tay offer beautiful, rare plants at prices that are often better than the big box stores, but she also takes the time to share her knowledge and help people succeed in caring for them. Her passion for plants is matched only by her passion for people. What stands out most is how deeply she cares about her community. I recently welcomed a new dog into my family through a connection facilitated by Tay, and the experience was unlike any adoption process I’ve seen before. She thoughtfully coordinated communication between me and the previous owner, creating something that felt like an open adoption. I can ask questions, receive care tips, and even share updates about how the dog is doing. Tay was incredibly intentional about making sure the match was right for both my family and the dog. She even offered opportunities for my children to spend time with her own dogs beforehand so they could become comfortable and confident around dogs before bringing one home. I’ve bought wonderful plants last year from Tay and they’re still alive! She also helped rehome my sister’s dog that she couldn’t care for anymore. Tay is such a sweet person, it was such a pleasure meeting someone like her in the neighborhood.

My mom and I went and we loved it! Her dogs are so cute and friendly and the plants were well taken care of and tay definitely knows her plants and I really loved the environment I recently got into plants and tay told me all about them from the lighting to how much I should water them and even gave me pots! I adore this place so much I most definitely will buy more plants from here especially the pothos I love them so much

My visit to this shop was beyond my expectations. The plant selection was very nice and the knowledge Tay shared about them was very informative. I would recommend this home based plant shop to anyone looking to support a small and upcoming business . You will walk away from the experience happy that you did .
